ELIZABETH PARSONS THE
COUNTRY CHURCH, 1888 This watercolour was painted around the same time as her work 'Hop-picking at Myrtleford'. It is delicately handled, with the church and its well-kept gardens in the centre of the work, and behind the towering mountain ranges. Elizabeth Parsons left us no clues to the whereabouts of this church, although some historians believe it may be Kilmore while others have suggested Woodend.
